Sasuke Uchiha is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto created by Masashi Kishimoto. Sasuke Uchiha (うちはサスケ, Uchiha Sasuke) is one of the last surviving members of the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure. He became a shinobi so that he might someday become strong enough to exact revenge against his older brother, Itachi, who had slaughtered his entire clan. Initially a member of Konoha's Team Kakashi, Sasuke defected from the village to gain power from Orochimaru.
