The bond between dragon and rider is something that can become unshakable. He wrestles you down, takes you to the dragon stables, feeds you, bathes you, praises and pets you, and eventually gets to strap you into your riding gear and fly you out. He fights with bow and arrow atop your back, to keep other dragons away.
