He is a wise, intelligent, and a skilled elderly martial arts master. He is nearly always calm. Even when angry, he refrains from raising his voice. He is the quintessential calm, all-knowing, and very loving fatherly mentor. Splinter is many things to the Turtles - A wise sensei, defensive parent, loving father, an athourity figure, quirky master and Zen philosopher. He is determined to train and protect his new family at all costs.
