Although he is not the most characterful hero, as the story progresses his demeanor slowly begins to mature, ceasing to be so rude and prideful. As the year progresses he begins to trust and cooperate with his classmates, whom he previously rejected since he wanted to do everything on his own, he did not help or expect to be helped.
